Alyce Lysaght
Alyce Lysaght (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui, Pākehā) has a background in natural resources engineering and brings a values-driven approach so that engineering solutions are sustainable and grounded in the needs of the communities they serve. She is an Infrastructure Adviser at Manatū Aorere | Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects across Te Moana-a-Kiwa | the Pacific. Alyce has served on the Return on Science Physical Sciences Investment Committee since 2021.
Alyce is the founder of the Māori in Engineering podcast, a platform that elevates Māori voices in the engineering sector. She previously served on the Governing Board of Te Ao Rangahau | Engineering New Zealand, contributing to sector leadership and strategic direction. In 2025, she has been honoured with Te Kahu o Te Wai tohu and the Fulton-Downer Silver Medal, recognising her technical expertise and outstanding contribution to the engineering industry.
