Following 10 years in veterinary clinical practice Colin held a number of senior executive positions in the primary, secondary and tertiary health care sectors. Recent roles have included COO of ASX-Listed Technology Investment firm Powerhouse Ventures, CEO of Integrated Healthcare IT company HSA Global and founding CEO of Otago Innovation, the commercialisation arm of the University of Otago. Prior to this, Colin was a Partner in healthcare consulting and investment banking services firm Medicus Capital and Executive Director Calan Healthcare Properties Trust.

Colin is a former Chair of the NZ Environment Protection Authority and Landcare Research and has served on the Boards of the NZX-listed companies BLIS Technologies and Pacific Edge Biotechnology. He is a Chartered Fellow of the NZ institute of Directors and currently sits on the Boards of Luminoma, SPCA and MARS Bioimaging.
