Kyla Lee

Kyla Lee is pursuing a BE(Hons) in Software Engineering at the University of Auckland. She is passionate about applying technology to real-world problems and serves on the Momentum Investment Committee, advising new ventures.

She has gained professional experience across engineering and research commercialisation. At Cochlear, she designed and optimised digital signal processing algorithms for next-generation sound processors, while at AROA Biosurgery she developed computer vision solutions to improve manufacturing processes. In a previous role as a Venture Analyst at AUT Ventures, she evaluated the commercial potential of research in biotech, software, and engineering, contributing technical due diligence to support investment decisions.

Her experience spans computer vision, medical technology, machine learning, and commercialisation strategy, and she has worked in a variety of teams across Australia and New Zealand. She is driven to create solutions that improve lives and translate innovative technologies into practical impact.
