Brian Russell

Dr. Brian Russell is a biomedical engineer, AI researcher, and technology commercialization strategist with a PhD in artificial intelligence and human performance in extreme environments. He founded and successfully exited Zephyr Technology Corp, which pioneered remote physiological monitoring systems and partnered with Under Armour, NASA, Medtronic, and 3M. Following Zephyr’s acquisition, he has advised global companies, venture funds, and research organizations on technology strategy, investment, and product development. Dr. Russell has held executive and board roles across multiple ventures, guiding commercialization of AI, sensing, and decision support platforms in aerospace, defense, sports, and healthcare. He led NASA Ames’ clinical decision support program, developing AI systems for astronaut health and autonomous operations.
