Nicola Johnstone

Nicola leads a team of IP advisors at UniServices (the commercialisation and investment arm of the University of Auckland) and is a patent attorney, solicitor, and engineer. Nicola and her team feed into technology assessment and investment propositions plus provide intellectual property support to the University of Auckland staff and students. As well as managing a large IP portfolio Nicola and her team interface with licensees, spin outs and industry partners. They work with researchers, students, University spin-out companies and investors to take research and technologies to market. Nicola has a strong interest in ICT and AI technologies, and a particular interest in medical device technologies.
